Greener Means Smarter and Healthier

ProTech Wood Floors is proud to promote the Bona Dust Containment Systems. We are also big fans of Bona finishes and floor care products. ProTech was the first wood floor company to invest in Bona's state-of-the art Atomic Dust Containment Systems (DCS) over 11 years ago. We are more experienced with the system than any other floor company. When it comes to the environment and floor care, Bona leads the pack.

Developed in Sweden, Bona was the first manufacturer in the industry to offer a complete hardwood floor finishing and care system that is GREENGUARD certified for indoor air quality. Bona products offer professionals and consumers unsurpassed durability, beauty, and environmental responsibility for hardwood floors. In today's tightly-built and well-insulated homes, the air inside your home is much more likely to retain polluting fumes and toxins. They are particularly harmful to children, the elderly, pets, and people with compromised immune systems.

Bona waterborne finishes have no toxic fumes and low VOC's (violatile organic compounds) so they are healthier for your family and for the environment. In addition, there is no need to vacate your home during the finishing process due to fast dry times and easy water clean-up. The final product highlights the true beauty and elegance of the wood and provides the ultimate in durability. All Bona finishes are GREENGUARD certified for indoor air quality.

Bona's trailer-mounted Bona Atomic Dust Containment System is the most forward-thinking innovation in the industry. The powerful system evacuates airborne dust generated by the sanding process. It virtually eliminates lingering dust in your air-ducts, and makes clean up easy.

ProTech recommends Bona waterborne floor cleaners. They are safe for floors, families, and the environment. Bona's specially-developed non-toxic formula also limits the harmful effects of downstream pollution.

Protech will accommodate customers who insist on the old school traditional oil based "Swedish" finishes. In this case we recommend you leave your home during the application process, and give it plenty of time to air out before inhabiting it. For older homes that are not tightly sealed, the longer the home airs, the lower the VOCs.
